COOKING CLASS

Culinary Workshop: Umbrian Tradition on a Plate

Our cooking classes, open to all, will allow you to discover the authentic flavours of Umbrian peasant cuisine, genuine and full of flavour.

Depending on the period and the seasonality of the products, Mara, the owner and peasant cook, will create a complete tasting, with the homemade pasta preparation, of our famous cake to the text (an ancient bread, typical of Umbria) stuffed with cured meats from our farm and from a traditional dessert, as well as a taste of our restaurant's signature dessert: tiramisu.

For the preparations, we will use the freshest raw materials, coming directly from our farm at km 0, to guarantee the authenticity of each dish.

By booking the exclusive experience, it will be possible to request and prepare a personalized menu.

The lesson will be held in pairs or small groups, up to a maximum of 10 people, to be able to give the right attention and support to all participants.
The experience includes the preparation and tasting of the dishes.

HORSE RIDING

A horseback ride overlooking Lake Trasimeno

If horses and nature have always fascinated you, at La Casa di Campagna you will find the perfect activity to live an experience different from the usual and far from the chaos of the city.
An immersive horseback ride for experts and beginners, accompanied by a qualified guide.

The route is simple and safe, in the purest countryside, with incredible views of Lake Trasimeno.

It will follow, for those who wish, a snack with typical products from our land and homemade, to be enjoyed romantically at sunset, between the silence of the early evening and the fiery red colours of the lake.

To participate, appropriate clothing for the occasion is mandatory, consisting of long trousers and closed shoes, for greater comfort and safety during the walk.

The experience is open to all our adult guests, even if they are not staying at the Agriturismo.
Children cannot go horseback riding but can do activities in the riding school.
For this experience, respectful behavior towards the animals and following the instructions of our guide are required.

ELECTRIC BIKE CYCLE PATH

From Lake Trasimeno to Perugia, pedaling without haste

Did you know that right in front of our farmhouse there is the Perugia – Trasimeno Cycle Route?
Two routes to choose from to spend a beautiful day cycling, right in the middle of the Umbrian countryside.

The first path and the Perugia-Trasimeno route, which connects the city to the lake, with a 30 km circuit that starts from Perugia and passes through some localities such as Monte Sperello and Magione.

The second path and the Trasimeno Cycle Route, a circular itinerary that extends for 58 km around the shores of Lake Trasimeno, passing through characteristic villages rich in history, such as Castiglione del Lago, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

In collaboration with “Green Heart Travel”, it is possible to rent electric bikes.

The Perugia-Trasimeno Cycle Path is a beautiful 30-kilometer-long panoramic cycle path that starts from the city of Perugia and reaches Lake Trasimeno.
And it passes right in front of our Agriturismo. Very convenient for bikers and groups equipped with bicycles and mountain bikes.

The route passes through breathtaking landscapes of the Umbrian countryside, among hills, woods, olive groves, cultivated fields and medieval villages.

The cycle path mainly follows secondary roads with little traffic, with sections on dirt roads and short climbs that require good physical condition, but which allow you to enjoy spectacular panoramic views.

The route starts from the historic center of Perugia, passing through the splendid city of Assisi, famous for being the city of San Francesco and for its Basilica, and continues to Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central Italy.

Along the Perugia-Trasimeno Cycle Route there are also many opportunities to taste the local cuisine, such as wines, olive oil, cured meats and cheeses. In addition, the route also offers many tourist attractions, such as the Etruscan remains of Castiglione del Lago and the Castle of Magione.

The cycle path is suitable for cyclists of all levels and is open all year round, although the best season to ride it is during spring and autumn. In addition, along the Perugia-Trasimeno Cycle Route there are also technical assistance points, bicycle rental and tourist guide services for those who want to take full advantage of this experience.

EDUCATIONAL FARM

Open and safe spaces for all children

A guided tour to come into direct contact with the animals on our farm.
There are many activities for adults and children: collecting eggs, interacting with the animals, petting them and feeding them.

A fun and safe way to experience the farm and learn about caring for and respecting animals.
For children over 6 years old, it is possible to book the “baptism of the saddle".

The experience also includes a snack for the children, made up of homemade products with raw materials coming directly from our farmhouse.

For parents and adults, there is instead one available bar service, with aperitifs and snacks in the shade of our veranda, where you can spend a convivial moment with the whole family, accompanied by fresh and genuine 0 km food.
