The Country House, Farmhouse in Umbria, the green heart of Italy, takes its current appearance from the renovation of a typical Umbrian farmhouse from the second half of the nineteenth century: it is in all respects a true country house, surrounded by fields and hills, where the silence is broken only by the sounds of nature.
It is a pet-friendly structure that also welcomes your 4-legged friends.
The farmhouse La Casa di Campagna can be reached in about two hours from both Florence and Rome.
Location
The Country House is located just a few minutes from both Lake Trasimeno (east bank, just 15 minutes from Perugia) that from its villages (Passignano on Trasimeno, Tuoro on Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago on the lake side and Paciano, Panicale, Piegaro and Città della Pieve on the internal hillside) and the main Umbrian art cities such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spoleto they can be reached in a fairly short time via convenient connecting roads.
The Cortona and Siena, art cities in nearby Tuscany, can be easily reached in less than an hour.
And in front of our Agriturismo passes the famous Perugia-Trasimeno Cycle Route, much frequented by bikers and joggers.
A country house surrounded by greenery
The Country House is a unique farmhouse, designed to accommodate travellers who wish to stay in a environment surrounded by greenery, genuine and relaxing and enjoy the typical local peasant cuisine taking advantage of the restaurant inside the structure.
A broad garden with swimming pool at the complete disposal of guests surrounds the house; horses and farm animals form the backdrop to the panorama that can be enjoyed from the upper loggia.
Mara, her family and all the staff will welcome you at home as guests and as friends, in a simple and informal way, available to give you directions on the surrounding area and on day trips or even just to have a chat with you, while respecting your privacy.
In Farmhouse…
For travellers who prefer to relax and stay on a farm, the swimming pool overlooking the surrounding hills and the garden are at your complete disposal, as is the shaded porch overlooking the vegetable garden and the play area.
The opportunity to be outdoors is one of the reasons that push people to choose a holiday on a farm; in the large garden there is room a children's play area, a pool area with surrounding lawn and trees with natural shade and a space is dedicated to animals of the farm, a large porch with tables and chairs where breakfast is served Breakfast in the morning, tasty aperitifs and dinners by candlelight in all seasons.
The swimming pool enjoys a private space, in the silence and peace that only nature can offer.
It is possible to use the swimming pool, if available, even without staying overnight.

The Farmhouse The Country House It is located in the centre of a land rich in history and nature, from which it is possible to easily reach the main Umbrian art cities and follow itineraries that wind through the green countryside and the suggestive overall views of the territory.
There are therefore numerous activities and experiences which can accompany the stay on the farm ranging from:
- nature trails: walks along marked trails, bicycle excursions (rental points near the farmhouse) and even horseback or quad trekking at affiliated operators
- historical-artistic itineraries (Perugia, Assisi, Castiglione del Lago)
- food and wine tours (DOP Umbria Oil Route, Colli del Trasimeno Wine Route)
- routes along the craft and shopping streets.
- sports trails: the Agriturismo is located a short distance from theUmbria racetrack “Mario Umberto Borzacchini” – also known simply as Magione racetrack –, the most important automobile and motorcycle circuit in Umbria.

- Your animal friends of all sizes are welcome at the La Casa di Campagna farmhouse.
- Upon arrival we welcome them with a bowl of fresh water and we are surrounded by miles of Countryside trails so you will have no difficulty whatsoever in walking with them in nature.
- The animals will be housed in room with you. During the stay, animals cannot be left unattended inside the rooms. In case of damage, the costs for repair will be charged, unfortunately.
- Dogs are allowed in the pool area (but not in the pool!) and to the restaurant but we rely on the sensitivity of each owner to best manage their dog, knowing their nature and sociability, especially in the presence of children.
- In any case, the use of the leash given the presence of numerous farm animals such as horses, sheep, goats and chickens, as well as our dogs, which could arouse the curiosity of your furry friends.
- A two-minute drive from the farmhouse is available veterinary practice who will be happy to assist you with any needs you may have.
- We do not have a fenced area to let dogs roam free.
- Upon your departure we will charge you the sum of €20,00 for the mandatory sanitization operations in order to guarantee subsequent guests a comfortable stay.
Pool
The swimming pool is at the complete disposal of the guests of the farmhouse.
The pool is 12 m x 5 m in size and the water depth varies from 1.10 to 1.90 m; there is a comfortable semi-circular brick access staircase on which you can also sit; the pool is surrounded by a lawn area for sunbathing equipped with sun loungers and there is a large tree-lined area with natural shade.
The swimming pool is surrounded by greenery, with a view of the garden and the surrounding hills and is open from June to September.
Camper
The Farmhouse The Country House It is accessible to campers to visit the Farm, discover the typical products and taste the zero-mile cuisine of the restaurant.
With the convention AGRICAMPER ITALIA dedicated to campers It is also possible to stay for one night for free in the outdoor spaces of our farm and take the opportunity to buy products or dine in our farmhouse
Farm & Direct Sales
We can certainly say that zero km is a reality here.
The Farmhouse La Casa di campagna It extends over 7 hectares of land among olive groves, woods and pastures with a view of Lake Trasimeno ; here wild fruits such as asparagus, country herbs, elderberry and dog rose provide excellent raw materials for special and unusual preparations.
The vegetable garden, in full splendor between spring and autumn, can be enjoyed from the restaurant tables where its products are beautifully displayed in the dishes on the menu.
The animal farm, a joy and attraction for young and old, is home to calves and pigs as well as goats, sheep, horses and chickens.
In company sales point Our preserves and jams are displayed together with cured meats, cheeses, Trasimeno beans, local wines, farm beer and other local products to allow you to take with you the flavours of your stay in this corner of Umbria.
